Before I continue....

Before I continue my countdown...I want to tell you one thing I dislike about America. Well, a few things. Individualism. I think it is important to look out for yourself, but not in sacrifice of America as a whole. America would be so much better if people were more interested in the group instead of the individual!! People need to buy into the fact that "United we stand, divided we fall". I know, I'm not innocent of all 'look out for myself' charges, but, this could be a better place if everyone actually tried to work together sometimes, just occasionally. Apathy. The next downfall of our society. People don't care about what's going on in this world. I know I take part in that as well, but care that poverty and crime exists. Care that there are those less fortunate than you! I heard someone say (wish I could remember who...sorry) that America is like Corinth, except we don't care about our sins...America, let's care about where we are going, where we are leaving our children!

And on a side note:
Let's keep our fingers crossed that New York can pull an Olympics out of their 2012 Hat! The announcement is tomorrow. I understand that most Northerners are afraid of an Olympics in New York City, but we need this to prove that terrorism doesn't phase America. The Olympics don't need NYC, but NYC needs the Olympics. I understand it is a long shot, but if not 2012, then 2016.
