I think that the twelfth greatest thing about America, the Comic Book! If you want a really good comic book company...go here! If not, and you want just a decent one, go here. (The department of Redundancy department!) Anyway, America is the birthplace (literally, not in the fictional universe, although some characters are fictional born in the United States as well...I digress), of such superheroes as Spider-man, Superman, the X-men, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Fantastic Four, etc. I've grown up on comic book heroes and would have to say that you rarely, if ever, hear of any great comic book heroes that originated in Germany or Scotland or the former Soviet Union. The comic book is an American icon! (As you know, Spider-man is my favorite!)
